KUVO Program Director to be Honored at Five Points Jazz Festival
jazz89 KUVO 89.3FM President/CEO Alfredo Cruz is pleased to announce that KUVO’s Carlos Lando is being recognized for his significant contribution to jazz this Saturday at 3:30pm at the Five Points Jazz Festival. “This award is timely because as of April, Carlos has been at KUVO for 25 years! I’ve known Carlos for close to 20 of those years and he’s always been one of the most respected and influential jazz programmers in the country.” Cruz added, ”Lando is a big reason for me being at KUVO and I’m proud to be working with him on a daily basis. Webcam May Be Down for a While
We were informed today that SkyBeam, the ISP we use on Baldy, has decided to permanently cease operations at our site. This leaves us without an Internet connection there. Our webcam depends on an Internet connection to deliver it’s images to you. We are now exploring other options. Sorry if you were a frequent visitor to our site to view the images. We will keep you informed of our progress to bring this service back on line.
KUNC 88.1FM Back on Air
After a few adjustments the KUNC engineers have put KUNC 88.1FM back on the air.

On March 28th KUNC started broadcasting on both 88.1 and 88.7FM in Summit County. Yesterday they brought 88.1FM down to accomplish some adjustments. We’ll keep you posted on their progress. In the meantime, you can still enjoy KUNC on 88.7FM.
Webcam Down
Unfortunately, after making several mechanical repairs to our webcam on Baldy Mountain, and getting pectacular images, our Internet provider has run into difficulties. Our camera won’t transmit images unless we have an Internet connection at the electronics site. We’ll make a post as soon as our ISP fixes their problem.
