Something Interesting from the Academy of Lifelong Learning
One of our Board members has informed us about an event that might interest you. On November 9th there will be a lecture entitled, “The Future of Government Sponsored Public Radio” given by Max Wycisk, President of Colorado Public Radio. He will share his experiences at KCFR and guide us through the current media frenzy and issues surrounding government sponsored radio. There will be a charge of $8 for non-members. Summit Public Radio & TV Sports a New Logo
This week we introduced a new logo for Summit Public Radio & TV. It was designed by a professional graphic designer along with new letterhead. We’ll use these designs on all future publications and correspondence to achieve a consistent look and hopefully a recognizable branding. The logo was based on a photograph of Bald Mountain in Breckenridge where our electronics site is located. The photograph, as seen in the banner for this blog, will continue to be used for the blog, our website, and other publications where a photograph works better than a graphic. FM & TV Station Outages July 25-29
Summit Public Radio & TV would like to inform folks residing, working and visiting Summit County that 3 FM radio and all 7 free, over-the-air TV stations will be periodically off-the-air this week. The stations in Summit County affected are: FM Radio - 89.3 KCME - 94.3 KBCO - 99.1 & 107.1 KQSE TV (Free, Over-The-Air Antenna) - 8 analog KCNC - 10.1 digital KMGH - 10.2 digital KCNC - 10.3 digital KUSA - 10.4 digital KRMA - 10.5 digital KCFR - 12 analog KUSA Periodic outages will be likely during the working hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, July 25-29.
